A Bunch for the Weekend - # 6 - Pink Peonies

A Bunch for the Weekend - this week are five huge pink peonies. I put them in a large enamelled white jug on their own and I just left a few leaves on the stems. I wanted as little as possible to distract from the beauty of the flowers - so with very little greenery and a plain background - the flowers really stands out and looking their best.

Have a lovely Floral Friday and a Creative Weekend!

I'll be back on Sunday with another floral quote from another flower lover!

xoxo Ingrid

Peonies are my favourite, especially the pinks. Your bouquet looks like Sarah Bernhardt, an old and fragrant variety.

We do not have peonies in my climate so I especially love beautiful photos of the flowers.

Aren't peonies beautiful! Yes, those delicate petals don't last too long, but it's so glorious to watch those buds burst forth into luscious layers of petals.

I can still remember a friend bringing me a large bunch of peonies. It's a lovely memory to accompany a unique flower.

I did see lots of peonies and other flowers at Saturday's farmers market. Might manage to include a photo in a blog.

Happy weekend to you. xo
