FLOWERS by ingrid and titti - Midsummer Flowers

The theme for FLOWERS this week is 'Midsummer Flowers'. My bouquet is a mix of blue, purple and white summer flowers from my favourite flower stall at the local farmer's market. They are all grown by Cel Robertson at her and her husbands nursery Forever Green Flower Company in Norfolk.    

In the bouquet are - cornflowers, Triteleia, larkspur, Ammi majus, cow parsley and a few stems of Salvia.

I used a weathered and aged terracotta container for a vase as I liked the rustic look and feel of it - to go with the summer flowers.     

All the images are taken in my garden - I had a lot of fun walking around with my arrangement placing it in different places - sometimes on a table top, sometimes next to some of my favourite garden ornaments.

From the top: 

- Arrangement is on a table in the garden - with old rusty garden tools and other objects.

- My old trusted Mr. Bulldog is smelling the flowers!

- A stone ornament in the shape of a pineapple - a symbol for hospitality. Often used on gateposts at the entrance to a house.       

In this image I placed the flowers on our children's old swing - yes, it's still there - they are now grown up - but it does bring back sweet memories!

In the back is a garden ornament from a local reclamation centre. 

The arrangement sits here on a round marble tabletop with a little rusty mini urn.

And in the last image it sits next to some terracotta succulent pots and some decorative Victorian bricks once used on buildings.
