Flowers and Vintage Flickr Group - White Hydrangeas

My series of photographs from my Flickr Group Flowers and Vintage continues and this time it's all about White Hydrangeas.

Hydrangeas are a very popular flowering shrub, they are easy to grow and there are hundreds of varieties. They are long-flowering and they come in colours ranging from brilliant blue, through soft pinks to striking deep reds and pure whites and some also have interesting autumn leaves.

Hydrangeas are wonderful as a cut flower and they also look great as a dried flower - that lasts for ages.

Ingrid, each of these lovely photo is a great tribute to the magnificence of hydrangeas. Pinks and whites are my favorites, and a very much also admired the dried versions.

I like the idea of using short-stems in the arrangements, and also a single flower head.

Hi Ingrid, Hydrangeas are such beautiful flowers. I particularly like the one that starts out green and slowly turns pink, first with just a hint of pink and the pink intensifies as the flower matures. I have one bush in my garden. I watch it every day as the colors change.
