daffodils

The floral theme this week is Daffodils or Narcissus as they are also called.

Daffodils as cut flowers are very cheep to buy from your local farmers market, supermarket or florist.

As a cut flower it is reliable, long-lasting and easy to arrange.

It is also a very easy bulb to grow in the garden or in pots. You plant the bulbs in the autumn and the flowers come up year after year. Plant the bulbs at twice the height of the bulb. Divide overcrowded clumps in summer and replant.

Daffodils.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these early spring daffodil
arrangements.

Thanks for your visit and for making comments!

When daffodils start coming up I know that all will be well with the world. I love these views of daffodils in their various containers. I plant bulbs every autumn and hope one day to have a gorgeous sweep of them in my front yard. Needed these pictures today as a huge snowstorm is headed our way.
Thanks a bunch (of daffy-down dillies)!

Lovely Daffodil pictures. The first one with all the bottles, is very similar to a photo I made of my Daffodils on a blogpost in Febr./March 2012.

Hvilken vårglede du skaper med alle de herlige påskeliljene. Et godt syn for øyet. Tusen takk! Om ikke så alt for lenge, så blomstrer disse i hagene våre:) Godt å tenke på.
