Tiny Blooms - # 17 - Pastel Pink Tulips and Anemones

Pastel Pink Tulips and Anemone

This series of blog posts - called 'Tiny Blooms - are about small flower arrangements. Small - might be the size of the container or it could be the size of the flowers or the amount of stems in each container. It can also be that the arrangement is minimal both in presentation and that it's simple, quick and easy to do. Apart from that there are no other strict rules - I'm allowing myself a lot of creative freedom!
Pastel Pink Tulips and Anemone

I found these pale pink tulips at my local street flower stall and next to them were some gorgeous white Anemones with a hint of pale purple on each petal - and I knew I couldn't leave without buying some and bringing them back home with me!!

I know, I know it's only end of October and they are already selling tulips and Anemones - it's a crazy world out there - but what is a girl to do??

This was just such a winning combination  - I love the contrast in leaves - the frilly Anemone leaves and the pointy sward shaped tulip leaves works well together.

The tulip petals are almost translucent and on the Anemones it looks like someone has taken a brush and just faintly brushed each petal ever so lightly.

The Anemones usually only has one set of frilly leaves - keep those on if they are undamaged and just trim the stems.

Take off any damaged leaves on the tulips and trim the stems. These are two flowers that are quick and easy to condition and they complement each other so well you don't have to add anything else to the arrangement.

Bonjour chère amie,

Il est très agréable de pouvoir admirer la délicatesse de l'anémone et de la tulipe en ce mois d'octobre qui s'achève.
J'aime tellement le printemps, que cela me fait du bien.
Très jolies photos.

Gros bisous ✺ ♡ ✺

Ingrid, it does seem a little odd to see tulip blooms for sale at the very same time that tulip bulbs are being planted for next spring's blooms, but...as you say, they are too lovely to pass by. I am seeing lots of them for sale here in New York, too.

This Tiny Blooms post is a gem. xo
