Pink and Green Christmas

I love the traditional colour red for Christmas and I have to admit that most of my Christmas decorations are red, many made of wood and from Sweden.
Red decorations on the green branches of a Christmas tree looks lovely. Maybe because they are complementary colours.

This year I was ready to try something else, so here is a bit of experimentation.
The old trustworthy Chrysanthemums in a deep pink and the lime green small button type is mixed with dark green holly leaves and some variegated Arum leaves.

I dug out some old Laura Ashley fabric from the 1980's mixed with other old and new fabrics. Ribbons are from my very favourite ribbon lady Jane Means

The fresh, glossy holly leaves has lethal spines but looks fabulous with it's shine and light edgings.

Vintage baubles in  pink and green adds some shine and interesting reflections.

The fact that they are old, faded in colour and a bit scratched just adds to the charm.

What colours are you using this year to decorate your tree and house?

Have a great time!

xoxo Ingrid

I would have thought I would not like pink and green for Christmas, but your examples are lovely! I love the holly with the mums. Also, the ribbon and fabric look so sweet! I am such a boring traditionalist, I guess. I usually use red, gold, and green. Sometimes sparkly white. As always, you put together such delightful vignettes!!

Oh, so beautiful together!!!

I'm using green, white, silver, gold & pastels. Somehow our tiny cottage feels larger and lighter when I use those colors. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Ingrid, I love this association of green and pink, an original and delicate way to change with red. I use different colors depending of the corner : some white, a touch of red, with old decorations inpainted wood. Have many nice days before Christmas ! Stéphanie

I love those big Chrysanthemum, they are gorgeous.

You ask what light I use? I have one lamp and a mirror.

there is one example how I use that one heavy light what builders use in worksites.
Have a nice Sunday

Så vackert!! Älskar både cerise och grönt. Det är uppfriskande med alternativa julfärger. Hos mig blir det allt mindre rött varje år, även om rött ÄR julfärgen nr 1.

Tack för härlig färgboost!

Ha det gott!
