MY WORLD

The lovely lady Deb over on Carrots and Kids made the suggestion of starting a new series called My World and I am going to join her. It is about showing a small bit from your world.
Above is a small bit of My World.
It is an Oriental poppy from my garden that has lost its petals and pearls and beads from old broken necklaces.
My world often involves - something from my garden plus something old, worn and sometimes broken, often already used and probably picked up at a car boot sale or flee market.
Then it involves a lot of arranging and trying things out - colours, textures, shapes and forms.
Then it involves a lot of photographing, uploading onto Photoshop and editing.
Finally some of the pictures end up on my blog and I put some on Flickr.

P.S. Lovely Sarah who writes the blog ArtShades is also doing My World!
Sarah makes wonderful, very creativ, handmade lampshades.

Dear Ingrid, What a most imaginative, attractive and interesting piece of 'Your World'. I love how you combine here the man-made with the natural.

Your world is gorgeous! I would never have thought to combine poppies & pearls, but the shot is beautiful, Ingrid.

Snyggt!

Your poppies, pearls and beads make a wonderful combination.

Aren't poppies just wonderful flowers, with their tightly held bulbs, papery petals that burst forths, and then, the seed pods are sculptural.

I have to say that some of those glass beads in your photo do remind me of many that I bought over the years from a wonderful bead shop in the Covent Garden area of London. Could have been simply called ... the Bead Shop.

Cheers!
