BOOK REVIEW - BOKRECENSION

My post today is again homework for my e-course Blogging Your Way.
This time we had a choice and I chose to do a book review.
The book I picked to review is called Blogging for Bliss.
Being in a learning mode I thought it would be appropriate to keep to the same theme and it was fun to see that our teacher Holly Becker is featured in the book!
Blogging for Bliss by Tara Frey was published last year by Lark Books.
Tara has been writing her very popular blog {tara frey}:: typing out loud since 2004.
Tara lives in Pennsylvania, USA with her family and blogs about family life, business, writing, creativity, decorating and she takes all her own photographs.
Tara calls herself an accidental author, a purposeful blogger, an aspiring photographer and she is an editorial contributor to a few home decorating magazines.
The book is focused on the creative and crafting community in the blogging world.
She features more than fifty inspirational and creative blogs.
The full title of the book is Blogging for Bliss: Crafting Your Own Online Journal; A Guide for Crafters, Artists, & Creatives of All Kinds.
The seven chapters in the book cover the basics of how to set up a blog, how to improve your blog and how to keep it running.
The book gives lots of sensible advice and tips to keep you going for a while; it is easy to read and has a very helpful glossary.
At the end of each chapter Tara features insightful interviews with eight to ten bloggers.
You find out what motivated them to start blogging, what inspires them to keep going and what changes they have made over the years.
I have to say that it has been a delightful experience to discover all the fabulous blogs from around the world.
The blogging world is huge and I was surprised to learn that Blogging for Bliss is apparently the only book that covers the more creative side of blogging.
Hopefully we will soon see more books showing different aspects of blogging.
Den här boken finns bara utgiven på engelska.
Utav den anledningen så gör jag ingen översättning av recensionen på svenska.

Yay! I've been considering to buy this one, but then the BYW came across and preferred to take that one! Do you think it is worth soending the money on it?

Trevlig helg!
Kram Karin

Great choice! I bought the book a few months ago and throughly enjoyed it although nothing beats the interaction and topics in detail that come along with BYW =)
