Floral Media - Make Your Own Autumn Flower Arrangement from Martha Stewart

                                                                                     

It's the beginning of much cooler weather in London and autumn flowers are starting to appear in the supermarkets, florists and flower stalls.

So today I'm featuring a short YouTube video from Martha Stewart on how to make an autumn flower arrangement.

                                                                                    

Todd Carr, the senior gardening editor, is using spider and pom-pom Chrysanthemums - in beautiful autumn yellow and orange colours. Mixed in as a filler is also some Golden Rod.

Floral Media - Setting Your New Year's Eve Table - Martha Stewart

It's New Year's Eve in a couple of days and lots of us will have friends and family over for dinner. Here is Katrin Björk from Modern Wifestyle back with a New Year's Eve table setting brought to you by Martha Stewart. 



Katrin is setting the scene using a white tablecloth, neutral off-white and light grey plates and clear glasses. She layers the look using three different size plates and on top a linen napkin. On top of the simply folded napkin she places some black cutlery, a small twig of either holly or pine and ties it with a dark blue almost black ribbon.  Katrin makes it all look very stylish and contemporary, and allows the food to have central stage. She also places a small bowl at each table setting with twelve grapes, one for each clock strike at midnight!

Floral Media - Holiday Flower Arrangements Made Easy - Martha Stewart

Today on 'Floral Media' I'm featuring some very simple last minute festive flower arranging.  



Katrin Björk from Modern Wifestyle this time through Martha Stewart. Katrin shows us how to use simple green wintry classics like green and variegated holly, fruiting eucalyptus, red Ilex berries and a few different pines. She arranging them in several small vessels and makes quick and easy table arrangements for the holiday.

Floral Media - Video - Make Your Own Autumn Flower Arrangement

Here is a short little video from Martha Stewart's YouTube channel. It's her Senior Garden Editor, Todd Carr showing us how to make a quick and easy autumn flower arrangement.

He is using a bunch from the supermarket and transforms them into something a bit more special. The flowers he is using are a couple of different Chrysanthemums as well as some Golden Rod also called Solidago.

Todd uses a gold coloured vase that matches the colour of the flowers. He starts with the larger Chrysanthemums and then fills in with the smaller ones and the Golden Rod.
