In a hurry, run out of time, too much to do or home late?
We all have reasons for not getting things done but we still want it to look nice around us.
What do you do with the plants that you meant to plant up in some nice pots?
To hide the ugly black or brown plastic pots becomes the most important thing.
Here I have hidden the black plastic pots in a shoulder basket.
My friend who was moving asked me if had any use for a basket with a broken shoulder strap.
Well, I only had to think for a moment as I loved the colours and being a "collector of props" I happily accepted her offer.
I put some plastic in the bottom to protect the basket then some crumpled newspaper to raise the pots. A saucer under each pot for watering is also a good idea.
I had a very nice and colourful display with seasonal pink heather that lasted until I had a bit more time to repot the plants in more permanent pots.

Dear Ingrid, What a fun and stylish idea. As you say, sometimes we need instant solutions to problems and this seems a perfect idea. The heathers are a particularly lovely choice for the basket.
What a great idea!
Brilliant idea Ingrid, it really makes it much prettier than those plain plastic pots.
Vilken underbar idé! Vackert!

What a great idea, and it looks lovely!!
Hi Ingrid,
Such a good idea! It is a pretty basket.
I use one of my old baskets for storing old newspapers. I find it difficult to throw old beautiful things away as well :-)!
Lieve groet, Madelief
this is a great idea, I also have such a bag, as a matter of fact it was my very first bag!!! I will think about making the same! thanks!
Ingrid, you've created yet another interesting harmony of color and texture, with that bit of the unexpected that I consider your signature!
Lovely.
(I am another who keeps lots of baskets around for many uses.)
Best wishes.
~ A breathtaking blog!!!! What inspiration for a newbie!!!! :)
I love your creative thinking. This is an idea that I will be borrowing.
Useful and attractive.
Thank you for sharing the great idea.
Dearest sweet Ingrid, this is an awesome idea ~ very chic and beautiful!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us! I hope your week is off to a good start! Have a lovely merry happy day and love to yoU!
Man tager vad man haver.....klart att det blir såå bra när Ingrid är i farten ;)
Today I came across a basket that is falling apart. It is short and wide. I saw the cats start to play with it, so I put an old pillow case in there and I'm going to let them use it. We'll see who finds it first..I hid it under the piano. lol
Kram Charlotte
Snyggt och roligt på samma gång.
Ha en bra dag
