Green and white looks very fresh in the spring and a tulip called 'Spring Green' is one of my favourite tulips.
I made a little flower arrangement in a vintage green glass bottle.
The tulip I used is mainly white but has little green stripes on the outside of the petals.
I mixed them with a white Ranuculus and some Viburnum opulus 'Roseum' a shrub that has very light green-tinted flowers.
I also wanted to make some kind of background to the arrangement using more of my washi tape.
Using some brown wrapping paper and washi masking tape with some lovely trailing ivy in two different green colours.
I wanted a clean and simple look so a few stripes of the tape was enough.
The Viburnum has such a lovely and delicate green colour.
A few buttons and an old and broken but very beautiful vintage broach.
All picking up the lovely spring green colours.
In the UK you can buy the ivy washi masking tape from Papermash.
Have a lovely spring green day!!
xoxo Ingrid

ReplyDeleteDear Ingrid,
ReplyDeleteI always love the way you put things ( and colours ) together....this time I had to laugh, because I did some flower arrangements for a marriage in green and white...the same as you !!!Good combination...
Love your tapes, good idea with the brown paper..
Have a nice springweekend,
Sanne
Vintage bottles and three of my favourite flowers - have all of them growing in the garden, about 30 or so of the Tulipa Spring Green at their best right now. And the tape - heaven!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely vignette in greens.
ReplyDeleteVery enjoyable post.
Spring green....den hade jag också älskat.
ReplyDeleteHa en bra fredag//Carolina
Ingrid, you have got a unique "green thumb" with your artistry. The Japanese tape against the brown paper is perfect.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love this time of the year?
xo

ReplyDeleteHi Ingrid,
ReplyDeleteYour greens look great!!
Happy weekend & lieve groet,

Hello Ingrid ~ Your vingette of greens is spectacular! I most enjoy all your props from the vintage bottles to the buttons and brooch. All in similar shades of green that do not overpower each other. With that said what you always bring to your photography are the flowers chosen with all the beautiful settings that one could create to embellish. Simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHugs Rosemary...XX
P.S. No pressure can not wait for your Easter setting. :D
Oh how lovely still lifes in green you´ve build up - and taken great pictures of!
ReplyDeleteDo you know what:
You have actually made me crazy !;-) I´m now looking every where for this japanese tape! And made more people wanting it!;-)
But they don´t seem to have it any where here in Sweden! Grr...
Right now we have a man (japanese) from our town visiting Japan. We will ask him to bring some! Got to have it!;-)
These are such wonderful spring photographs Ingrid!
ReplyDeleteAll of your compositions are so very beautiful.
Fresh and bright, so very invigorating! Very clever idea on the tape for the background. Really love the richness of this shade of green, Ingrid! Have a terrific, spring-green week! – g
ReplyDeleteHello Ingrid, lovely way to contrast green with white. Mini green hydrangeas, white tulips, and white ranunculus are fairly common at most markets and can be placed with either a green flask (or white bottle should suffice). Thanks for sharing!

How clever is that, I never thought to use tape for that purpose, you are so wise:) Love your flower arrangement colors and I also get the name of Viburnum opulus 'Roseum'. I have that in tea cup but don't know the name. I always ask the name but soon I'm out of flower shop I forget the names.
ReplyDeleteI don't know have heard we did have elections here yesterday and a nationalist party has taken nearly a fifth of votes in Finland. That is little scary and now there is a movement in facebook called Fenno-Ugrian Refugee Centre of London:) We all going to move to London as a refugees for next for years.
So I hope the London is willing to take us and give us a home until we have next elections;)
