Harmony


I would like to wish you a happy weekend with another gorgeous early spring flower - Iris 'Harmony'.
 The flowers are royal-blue with bright yellow markings.
It is a small and very sweet little iris that is only about 10 cm tall.

    This photo looks like a painting...beautiful!
    I would love to keep chickens, but not sure how to in sub-zero artic conditions here in Halsingland Sweden lol!
    Any info you have would be gratefully received ;-)
    No connections with Sweden...other than we live here!
    We have been ski-ing in Vemdalen since 2001 and our sons were at an ice-hockey camp in Tumba in S'holm in 2006.
    In 2007 we purchased a summer house in the middle of the forest...
    The rest is history ...lol
    Our daughter is at Art School in S'holm where she lives with her Swedish 'sambo'

    I have these in my backyard but I get only few flowers during summer but I like the leaves also because they are so high. So it does look good even if have only few flowers.

    Harmony is a perfect name for that deep blue iris with its golden accent.

    Ingrid, may I also say how much I like the look of those tulips against the lacy texture that appears as your header. Truly lovely, and a great reminder that spring will eventually return to us.

    Jag älskar de små första tidiga Irisarna! Jag, egentligen alla Irisar - för deras spröda eleganta skönhet... som din bild så fint återger!! Men de där tidiga ger sådan extra glädje när de sticker upp strax efter att snön smält... då man är så extra "blomsterhungrig"!;-)

    I love these little iris, Ingrid. They are so sweet and that deep blue is like velvet. Thank you for your lovely comment – you're one of the few people who were familiar with hamamelis. We went to the arboretum again on Saturday and the fragrance was incredible – the entire winter garden was filled with the sweet smell.
