'A Bunch For the Weekend' - this week is a simple arrangement of beautifully scented lavender sweet peas.
I used a vintage beer bottle as a vase - it has a nice aged look and is in a light green colour.
After conditioning the flowers when I got them home from the farmers' market - I started off arranging the bunch in my hand - trying to get a round shape to the flower head. I didn't want it to look too even but still have an even spread of flowers. I fitted as many stems as would fit into the opening without cramming them in. I measured the bunch against the side of the bottle and then cut all the stems at an angle before sliding the whole bunch into the bottle.
Voilà - a little bit of beauty for the weekend!
Have a wonderful Floral Friday and a great weekend!
See you again on Sunday for another Floral Quote.
xoxo Ingrid

The sweet peas look beautiful in the bottle Ingrid. I have several varieties in the garden, but it's too early yet to get any flowers.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

I'll be looking forward to picking sweet peas when mine bloom later this summer. The green vinegar bottle was a good choice.
